Employer-sponsored enrollment protection
Unused purchased seats may be assigned or reassigned. If a sponsored learner leaves before certification, the enrollment can be reassigned under the published terms. A qualifying 90-day replacement protection applies after certification.
The credential itself always belongs to the professional who earns it. Employer sponsorship does not certify the organization.

HCRS™ stands for Home Care Revenue Specialist — Certified. It is a private professional credential issued by HCRI for Medicaid-funded HCBS/LTSS revenue operations.
What does one seat include?
One seat enrolls one professional in the HCRS National Core, one included state qualification, applied work, practicum, certification examinations and the opportunity to earn the HCRS credential.
Can I buy one seat for myself?
Yes. Select one seat and complete checkout. The same one-seat option can also be purchased by an employer sponsoring one professional.
Can an organization buy several seats?
Yes. Select 2–5 seats on this page. For 6 or more seats, contact HCRI directly.
Who owns the credential?
The HCRS credential is earned by and issued to the individual professional, regardless of who paid for the enrollment.
What happens if a sponsored learner leaves?
Employer-sponsored purchases receive the applicable assignment, reassignment and qualifying 90-day replacement protections stated in the Enrollment Terms.
How do the exams work?
The national examination has four 25-question sections and the state examination has 25 questions. Candidates must answer at least 22 of 25 correctly on every section. Up to three attempts are available per failed section before assigned remediation.
How long does the credential last?
The active HCRS credential term is one year. Renewal requires current update education, a shorter scenario-based recertification examination and a renewed attestation.
